Describe a decision you made in the past that helped you learn or grow.
Originally, I had moved to China to teach part time to support my writing habit. Once there, I wanted to avoid cultural misunderstandings and it made me a much better listener in general. It was also obviously easier to find Chinese literature in translation than in most parts of America.
